In the LDPE process, over pressure protection devices must respond quickly and accurately. Our precision discs are machine lapped to precise thicknesses. With a zero manufacturing tolerance, extremely accurate results are achievable. Discs are qualified precisely at the customer's specified burst pressure at temperature.
In order to provide rapid response, each disc is prestressed at 97% of rated burst pressure at the customer's operating temperature.
Discs are welded on to custom designed holders. While direct reactor wall mounting is the most common, block mounting in process lines is also used. Bolt in sleeve or removable nose configurations are available.
